Upholstery Alcantara and leather
Complete interior upholstery of a 1999 Mitsubishi Evolution VI
The client chose alcantara and leather for the interior. We have the entire range of colors in alcantara although most of the time we use black and dark gray alcantara because it is more common in car interiors.

The idea was to cover all the plastic parts with alcantara, the client wanted everything to be made of alcantara. Design of the seams and the pattern are our ideas, sporty lines, yellow seams….The work lasted approximately two months. (Madrid 12/2019-02/2020)

Alcantara is commonly used in seat inserts or full upholstery to provide a grippy texture that keeps passengers in place during spirited driving. Alcantara-covered steering wheels offer a non-slip grip, which improves control, especially in high-performance cars. Often used on headliners, pillars and dashboards, adding a luxurious, soft-touch finish to these interior surfaces. Upholstery with Alcantara on the door inserts gives a stylish touch while being easy to clean and maintain.
Alcantara is a premium material often chosen for car upholstery due to its luxurious feel, durability, and modern aesthetic. Upholstery Alcantara for car interiors:
– Is a synthetic material made from a blend of polyester and polyurethane. Its unique texture mimics suede, providing a soft, velvety touch.
– Premium Appearance, matte finish and rich texture give it a high-end look, often associated with luxury and sports cars.
– Alcantara enhances the look and feel of car interiors with a modern, upscale vibe.
– It’s highly durable and resistant to wear and tear, making it an excellent choice for high-traffic areas like seats, steering wheels, and door panels.
– Alcantara is lighter than leather, which is an advantage for performance-focused vehicles, as it slightly reduces overall weight.
– Unlike leather, Alcantara doesn’t get as hot in the summer or cold in the winter, making it more comfortable for passengers.
